More than just an activity room, the Kreative Kidz Discovery Centre offers children a unique space to explore and learn in new ways. At nearly 1,000 sq. ft., it’s one of the features that truly sets our daycare in La Prairie apart!
What Is the Discovery Centre?
Much more than a gym or an indoor playroom, the Discovery Centre is a learning environment where children can move, explore, create, and experiment all year round.
Through a variety of activities and experiences, this unique space stimulates their curiosity and creativity while supporting their overall development. Every visit becomes a new opportunity to learn, make exciting discoveries, and have fun!

Grab a brush and start digging! Our little paleontologists can uncover fossils, examine dinosaur bones, follow giant footprints, and make prehistoric discoveries. Learning becomes an adventure they can touch, explore, and experience.

Firefighters. Builders. Doctors. Shopkeepers. Drivers. Chefs. Our children can even help build and decorate their very own little city before bringing it to life through play.
Why We Created the Discovery Centre
At Kreative Kidz, we wanted to give children even more opportunities without simply adding more activities to our classrooms. So we decided to think bigger by creating nearly 1,000 sq. ft. dedicated entirely to experiences and discovery. The Discovery Centre was born from this vision: to give the children at our daycare in La Prairie a flexible environment where ideas can truly come to life.
Much more than an additional classroom, this space allows us to create immersive adventures, welcome special guests, organize larger-scale activities and events, or simply give children more freedom to move, play, and explore. We had the opportunity to create more space at Kreative Kidz. We chose to dedicate it to the children and everything they can discover there.

What Do Children Do When the Weather Doesn’t Allow for Outdoor Play?
Quebec weather doesn’t always allow for outdoor play, but that doesn’t mean children have to stay confined to their classrooms! The Discovery Centre gives them a large indoor space to move and burn off energy through obstacle courses, movement games, sports activities, building challenges, and much more. Rain, snow, or extreme cold, there are always plenty of opportunities to have fun and stay active!
Do You Organize Activities with Special Guests?
Yes! The Discovery Centre allows us to welcome a variety of special guests and offer unique experiences throughout the year. Magicians, scientists, storytellers, musicians, artists, and members of our community can come and share their world with the children through shows, workshops, and interactive activities. The goal? To make these extraordinary moments a truly memorable part of the Kreative Kidz experience.
How Does the Discovery Centre Support My Child’s Development?
Every adventure is filled with valuable learning opportunities. By moving, creating, imagining, and experimenting, children develop their motor skills, confidence, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities. Group experiences also help strengthen communication, collaboration, and social skills.
Can We Host a Birthday Party at the Discovery Centre?
The Discovery Centre will be available for select private birthday celebrations for Kreative Kidz families. Its spacious indoor setting can accommodate a variety of themes and activities, such as inflatables, art parties, themed adventures, or special entertainment. And since the celebration takes place indoors, the weather can’t spoil the fun!
